Smart Rental System policies

Terms of Service

The rules for using Smart Rental System software and managed services.

Effective August 7, 2026

Service and account

Your subscription gives your business a limited, non-transferable right to use the SRS products and services included in the selected plan. You are responsible for accurate account information, protecting credentials, and activity performed by your users.

Trials, billing and renewal

A payment method is required to start a trial. Essentials includes a 365-day introductory period; other plans include the trial shown at checkout. Unless cancelled before the trial or billing period ends, subscriptions renew monthly at the displayed price plus applicable taxes. Third-party provider, transaction, message, domain and usage fees are separate.

Hosted service and customer content

For a ready-to-use plan, SRS prepares and operates the technical platform. You remain responsible for your business information, prices, product rights, customer promises, tax decisions and lawful use of customer data. You grant SRS permission to host and process that content only to provide and support the service.

Done-for-You Setup service

The optional one-time setup service covers one standard migration from usable source data plus the configuration listed at purchase. You authorize SRS to access, copy and configure the business material you submit. You remain responsible for its accuracy and rights. Extensive manual rebuilding or work outside the listed scope requires your approval before any additional charge.

Connected payment accounts

If you choose Stripe onboarding through SRS, Stripe provides and controls the connected payment account under Stripe’s own agreement, and you accept the Stripe Connected Account Agreement and Stripe Services Agreement directly with Stripe when you complete onboarding. Your business is responsible for verification, fees, refunds, disputes, taxes, negative balances and lawful transactions. Completing onboarding prepares the Stripe account; it does not by itself configure or activate checkout on your rental website.

The SRS platform relationship

SRS acts as a Stripe Connect platform for onboarding only. Your business remains the merchant of record for every payment your customers make: the money is paid to your account and Stripe pays it out to you, never to SRS. SRS never receives, stores or has access to your customers’ card details, or to your bank credentials. You may disconnect the account from Stripe at any time; doing so stops SRS from reading its status and does not close the Stripe account or affect payments already taken.

What SRS can see about a connected account

Once connected, Stripe tells SRS whether the account can accept payments, whether payouts are enabled, and whether Stripe is still waiting on information. SRS uses this only to show the status on your billing page, to remind you when something is outstanding, and to support you. SRS does not see your balance, your payouts, your customers or your transactions.

Platform fees on connected payments

SRS charges no platform fee or commission on payments taken through a connected account. Stripe’s own processing fees are charged by Stripe to your account under your agreement with them. If SRS ever introduces a platform fee, it will be disclosed in these terms and shown to you before it applies, and you may disconnect rather than accept it.

Acceptable use

Do not use SRS for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive or security-disrupting activity; attempt to bypass licensing or access controls; upload malicious code; interfere with another customer; or resell access unless a written agreement permits it.

Suspension and data

Failed payments receive the stated 30-day grace period. If unresolved, licensed services and new gated actions may be paused until billing is corrected. SRS does not delete an installed storefront, existing bookings or customer data merely because a payment is late. Serious security or unlawful-use risks may require immediate restriction.

Warranty and responsibility

SRS is provided with reasonable care, but internet services, third-party providers and business results cannot be guaranteed. To the extent permitted by law, indirect or consequential damages are excluded and total SRS liability is limited to fees paid to SRS during the three months before the claim.
